The Nordangsdal valley
Nordangsdalen is like something out of a fairy tale – a narrow, green valley surrounded by steep mountain sides and waterfalls that dance down the mountain like silver threads. Old summer farms and the quiet waters of Lyngstøylvatnet testify to life that was, and the powerful forces of nature. The Sunnmøre Alps

The Fjords, villages and mountains, all in one tour
We start in the center of Ålesund. On the speed boat dock next to the cruise terminal.
We visit Trandal. Famous for the popular selfie on the swing and the Trandal Blues Festival.
We sail by fast speed vessel from Ålesund into the Hjørundfjord.
We sail to Sæbø, which is a favorite place for mountaineers and back country enthusiasts.
We go by Urke at the foot of the popular Urkeegga. The village has between 30 and 40 permanent residents.
The boat trip ends in Øye. We take time to enjoy the surroundings. Union Hotell Øye has been a destination for mountain people, royals, writers and lovers for generations.
The trip continues by bus. We stop in Nordangsdalen to experience the sunken village that has been under water for 100 years
The next stop is Hellsylt. Known for local food and salmon fishing. We are now deep in the fjord at the gate to Geiranger.
Ljøen is the next stop. Here is the lookout point with a fabulous view into the Geirangerfjord.
Strandafjellet is the world's most beautiful alpine center and gondola, open both summer and winter.
Next stop: Sykkylven. The small village that has put the world at its feet with the furniture Stressless.
The ferry ride across the Storfjord is beautiful. Outwards we see the sea and infinity. Inward we see beautiful fjords and mountains.
In the end we are back in Ålesund. The Jugend City. Probably the most beautiful city in the world.
